Authenticity in the age of Fabrication
Having spent several years making documentary films, I am deeply aware of the deceptive nature of images — even those capturing actual events. In my artistic practice, I extend a long-standing inquiry into visual veracity into a post-photographic medium.
The rise of AI-generated imagery compels us to rethink authenticity in a world where the synthetic and the real seamlessly blend. If an AI-generated image can move us, provoke thought, or reveal hidden structures, can it not embody truth? Can truth transcend visual authenticity to emerge instead through ideas, concepts, and emotions that illuminate reality?

By tapping into vast databases of human experience, I create layered digital canvases that deconstruct traditional visual storytelling and the conventions of film and photography, inviting viewers to reconsider how technology continuously reshapes our understanding of place, memory, and truth.
